Maya Character Animator needed to help complete a 6 minute short film called ELROY - THE POTATO HEAD BOY.
Based: Remote (Home)
Position: Maya Character Animator
Dates: 20 May 05-31 July 05 (10-15 days work)
Fee: USD1500 - neg
Information on the project can be found here:

It is being rendered on the HP URS: http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press/2005/050509a.html
The project is part of a scheme being supported by the UK Film Council and several industry figures (Aardman, DreamWorks, BBC). It is also being featured in a Discovery Channel documentary for the UK and will be shown by HP as a showcase of their technology.
Reliable animator required who can work remotely in Maya 6.01 and complete up to 5 scenes over a maximum of 8 weeks. I estimate around 10-15 days work, so it should be able to fit in with other projects if you want.
The fee is around US$1500 depending on experience, meeting deadlines, and amount of work done.
Each scene consists on one character, no set, no lights. I will supply video reference footage. The animation style is a cross between marionette puppet and stopframe.
You must have broadband connection. Non UK animators need their own copy of Maya 6.01.
Please email me a link to your showreel and other information if you are interested. Only character animation please!
