Hey people, is there a way to use one curve to cut another curve? For example, if I have two curves intersecting each other, can I use curve 1 to cut curve 2 so that now I have two new curves (3 & 4)

Check out the Crosssection button somewhere in the Edit Spline rollouts. It'll allow you to place a vertex right where two splines are overlapping. Hooray. With the vertex placed, you can switch to Segment sub-object mode and delete what you don't like.
