Im about to guy a new motherboard proc and ram. Im undecided as wether i shoud get AMD or Intel. I dont need state of tje art as in dual core. But if i went with a singel core solution like this one :

AMD 64 3500+ (S939)
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2 GHz Socket 939, 512KB cache

Corsair TWINX1024-3200C2 DDR-DIMM 1024MB Kit w/two matched CMX512-3200C2 DIMM
Abit AV8 Mainboard for S939 KT800PRO.

Would i be able to plug in a dual core proc later in the year with out changing the motherboard?

Also do the Amd 64 chip comewith HT?

So if this isnt a good route to go what would you recommend?
