View Full Version : Transfering UV's

I modeled a character to be used in a short animation with a few of my friends. I sent it off to the rigger and while he was rigging it I started laying out the UV's and texturing it... but now when I try to transfer the UV's it doesn't transfer, I get this error message...

polyTransfer -vc 0 -uv 1 -v 0 -ao |polySurface2|polySurfaceShape189 |mm_BodyMesh|mm_BodyMeshShape;

The mesh shouldn't be any different because I am texturing the same model I sent to him. I'm at a loss on what to do now so if anyone knows what this means or what I am doing wrong it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi DarkMount,

Are you sure the 2 models have the same topology. I mean, do they have the sam amound of faces, vertex... ?

They did have the same topology, but I just barely found out the problem. What happened is when it was rigged he cut off the head to make the blend shapes then reattached it, thus making it nolonger the same mesh. So I am just re-UV'ing the rigged one.
