View Full Version : How do you grade your film?
thedoc 05-19-2005, 11:39 AM Hey there again.
I know that when you shoot footage that you normally would have to take the picture through a process so that it looks good. I see it in movies but more in music videos because it's more obvious there.
How do you guys normally grade your video? to give it 'that' specific 'look'

hi,
well, there are severals ways to grade a film in AE, if you can, try a plugin called "magic bullet", it has a lot of nice color presets, but globally you can desaturate a little, and put
a color layer with a blend mode over your movie....it 's a quick way to get a particular color
for a video clip.
have fun

yeah, i`m using magic bullet suite too, but this plugin consumes a lot of memory. Even for the work station, but it creates a wonderful color for the movie you work on.
