people, i yet finished my short film called The Wrong Landing. It's about a martian and his wife, landing on earth. It's a 3d film with real footage as backgrounds. All filmed with a Cannon XL1 MiniDV, at the National Park of Las Caņadas del Teide, in Canary Islands, Spain. You can download the file at

I wait for your feedback... :wavey:

huh, well i really like the anamation, it seems really smooth and timing seemed quite good too.

but i think there is a problem with your audio...... it seemed to really lag behind bad, and wasn't qued with the rest of the anamation at all.

i do like it, and looks very pro..... the voices i like too, but maybe in terms of clairity you might want the aliens to speak just english rather than sub-title your whole anamation?? it seemed trying to read the sub headings and listening to them speak was too distracting from the animation.
might have more impact on the viewer.

but good job non the less, everything really fit well with your real footage, it rocks

hehe, you can get it at
http://membres.lycos.fr/wronglanding/

my opinion:

First of all, I dont mind the subtitles at all (but thats maybe because im used to them)

Secondly, the sound is indeed not in sync with the movie at all :(

Other points:
The movie looks very professional, cool models and great animations(!), funny story. Too bad there are some frames missing at the end and the quality is a bit low

Thanks quinox I was able to get it from there. Excellent work on the animation Deepray, excellent compositing, modelling and character animation. The sound didn't appear out of sync to me!?

Great little story and very well executed, it was a pleasure to watch.

:applause: I find you your comic film, the assembly is well made, just textures of the aliens which shocks me a little bit! And the end is a little too fast, damage! on the other hand Teide Volcano... hum... que of good memories, I lived 5 years in Tenerife (Callao Salvaje and Playa de Las Americas!!!)

ok, thanks for all guys, but is true. due the high demand that the movie has generated, a saturation in the CubicAllMinds server has been produced. I open a mirror site at

http://membres.lycos.fr/wronglanding/

when the movie can be downloaded.

again Thanks for all guys, specially for all the people from www.esmaya.org, www.deathfall.com , www.3dvf.com , www.insidecg.com, 5d.sns.hu and others sites for promote my movie... ;)

I'm downloading it right now. But I haven't got a chance to view it yet (lousy dial-up). I'll post back later when I've finished downloading it and have had a chance to view it. Can't wait.

Sorry but can't find that video :) am I dumb ?
By the way, wouldn't it be better for us to be able to see some shots of it ? Just to see the overall quality, style etc.

toma.

Personally I would go for new characters and a new sequence. Although it means creating everything from scratch. I think completly new would be more satisfying in the end (as long as you pull it again)

Good luck

Ok guys, sorry, but lycos.fr close my account, and i moved to

http://members.lycos.co.uk/wronglanding/

for the divX version, and for the mpg version,

http://www.pocketmovies.net/detail_267.html

still working... ;)

Yeah infernis, the language it's all original, and i take this option becouse the short has a "spanish" version too, and, for take less work, i do all the subtitles, in spanish and english. No dubbing, no double work to sync the mouth.... :)
