So, this is my final demo reel character for my modeling reel. Egon Spengler, of Ghostbuster's fame and, Slimer. I'm going for the cartoon style Egon and Slimer. Egon's equipment and outfit will be more like the movies, since there is more detail in those versions.

allright, this is awsome so far, never would expect it to be done thats for sure, egons lips need tweaking, probably more of a buldge on this lips, just a tad I suppose, also his eyes dont encave as much as in the pictures, if he looked a bit girly if you changed it, then theres the jaw to enfore that its a guy so in that I think its ok =). good work

Whoah! I'm a GB fan! I also saw someone make an ecto-1 here

Anyhow nice slimer. And cool proton pack
Egon however needs a geek pencil neck. You gave him redneck neck

I used to have his toy, and the toy's proton pack was real lousy:shrug:

Hey Breon. Nice work so far. I love the slimer! brings back some good memories of saturday morning cartoons, back when they were good. I think egons neck is rather large for his skinny frame and his ears look rather flat compared to the ref material. More volume would be nice in the ears and more skinny and slender frame for the head and neck would help too i think. He just looks too bulky and muscular right now. But great work on everything else. Good luck and admire your interesting and unique choice you have chosen for your demo reel piece.

Do this is very awesome, slimer is sweet can't wait to see what kind of texture your gonna throw on him, and I agree with the egon comment he needs a tiny little neck, but otherwise this is an awesome thread!

hey punk, nice update some things need fixin though,

jaw line needs to be tighter its too soft for this type of char, dont be afriad to make it more angular and stylized, neck too thick ,you shouldnt be able to see where you connected the ear it looks like its stuck on atm. Eyebrow pinches too much look on humanface and see that towards the sides in softens out, lips need the most attention over anything else on the head at this point they look too early and lack volume, side of the cheek could use some more fat not too much but it looks too flat atm.
hope that helps tyler, see ya nxt weekend!

Hey guys, thanks for the comments! So, I made his neck a little thinner, as well as fixing some of the stuff Heber talked about. His cheeks are still a bit flat but, I'll get to that. His brow is still a bit low as well. I just wanted to post these... been working on the upperbody today. I think I'll need to put him in pose, then model the wrinkles in more specifically but, this should serve as a good base.

Right now without eyebrows and hair, Egon reminds me loads of robocop! So whatever you do to his face, I reckon you should save this version for future robocop goodness!

Excellent proton pack and slimer btw.

HIs neck is still thick tho and his body is big like a 6'2" redneck.

I agree Coaster, I sense an Alex Murphy in the future :D

I definitely love Slimer, very nice. His blobby roundness looks great. Egon however, his face looks a bit funny, but the textures should fix it up.

Very nice, keep up the good work.

Coaster: man, that is a crazy coincidence, I swear I didn't look at that for reference! Maybe a robocop model is destined for me..?

Mora: yeah man, I gotta keep thinning this guy out, bit by bit, lol

BlackNull: hey man! had a good time last week, looking forward to your critiques, and waiting for an update on the centaur ;)

Learner88: thanks man, I was pretty happy with how Slimer turned out too!

TAGspawn: thanks! yes, Egon has alot of work ahead of him... :)

So, I'm workin on getting more wrinkles modeled into his clothing. I'm going to be doing alot of the small wrinkles with Zbrush. The legs haven't been touched, I just got him into pose, the waist is pretty early but, any input on how the wrinkles are flowing together would be appreciated!

Is this the pose you're gonna give him?It looks too relaxed maybe you would give him more tension to his shoulders..

Egon looks really good, the pose that you have given him, reminds me of how they always stood like that, when frying a ghost.

I like first green monster. But you should work more on anatomy of Egon Spengler. Look carefully over his face, especially on bottom jaw and lips. Good Luck! It can be very successful work.

Thanks for the input guys, it always helps! I tried getting some more tension in the shoulders, like Learner88 suggested, and I worked on the neck and lips some more as well. Wrinkles are coming along.. slowly enough.... lol. I gotta git him some hair soon.

i like this a lot :) looks really good
here are my sugestions, make the lips a bit bigger, not wider though :) imho
push the chin a bit more into the face imho
and maybe the cheeks are too high imho
imho :)

Now the pose is better. How will you do the hair?i think that you can try with a well modeled and textured polygonal geometry for it..because it's a cartoon..

The cartoon version of Egon looks to have a pronuciated upper lip contour..try to enlarge a bit the lips as the wrong choice said..

for the rest great job..

LOVELY SLIMER!
