Well in last two days I had an idea to tweak my models by actual using a skull to shape the head propoerly. So I modelled my self an anatomocally correct skull( to some extent) and I have a high low res start of a head. I make the head a soft body and the skull the collision object of the soft body particles. Now when I animate the skull moving into the mesh I want it to take the shape of the skull. Problem is that the particles bounce and move and distort the whole thing.

1) Is there a way to make particles so they don't bounce.

2) Is there any way other then what I am doing to deform the skin based on underlying bone and musculature.

3) Any fixes would be greatly appriciated.

Thanks I'd greatly appriciate any help please throw everything you got at me... hehe

I'm not sure if it's still there, but on the jackles forge (I believe it's called, they used to have a shrink wrap plugin. It would be used for modeling purpose. You select your head first and then the skull. The skin will shrink untill it hits the skull.

Look after a shrinkwrap plugin, if you find it, let me now where.

kpalazov,

I've basically lived by this quote 2 thirds of my life and it is still as true as it gets. I suggest you read the "Art of War" while reading Zen, The contrast is sublime :) (I had to do this for a class.)

THanks, for some reason I over looked that possibility. I'd still like to know if you can remove the bounce from particles.

And also- is there a way to link the deformation of cloth to a low poly object. MY idea is that I could link a cloth object of the had to the poly head then that would give me good deformations.

thanks

I'm not sure but I think that if you play with resiliance, I'm pretty sure that you'd get rid of the bounciness
