Great model, was fun to see its progress in the WIP forum. For a low poly game model, it looks top notch!

Great work - it turned out really well in the end. The specular you added at the last minute really added to it.
It woulda been nice to see a collage of different views or poses to really show it off though. Its just 1 pic on a grey background at the mo - give it some oomph! Post wires an' all.
Maybe show the beat up version too?
Top-notch stuff!

Yep, it turned out awesome but as Andy H said before post the beat up version, right now the presentiation is a bit poor, which does not change my opinion that the model itself is awesome ;)
I give you 4 stars for this, hope to see more work from you, soon :)

Saw this in the game thread and I'm glad they convinced you to post it up here. Amazing work!

cool character, I really like the proportions.
I'd really like to see him in some different poses, it'd be super cool if you could model a boxing ring for him.

Brilliant. The render and lighting don't quite match up. I love this completely dramatic, theatrical approach. That must really really hurt! Give him one from me while you're at it.
Very well done!
I love the model you know that already since I followed your progress. But the layout you put here is well pretty dull and really does not do your awesome work justice. Either way It was an amazing model to see from start to finish on this website. If people saw the wip thread I am sure this would get front page.
5 stars becuase your did a great job and I want it to go front page ;)

Many, many thanks for your comments guys, I thoroughly enjoyed working on this character, in general response to the render...I completely understand and the plain background was more to show off the character instead of creating an environment that could either detract from the character or enhance the render in general, unfortunately I chose the the 1st scenario:shrug:...still....I'm absolutely chuffed with the fished version and glad you guys are too....:)
Many thanks all....

How did you manage to change your orignal submitted image? Once its been hosted by cgnetworks, you cant change it. It would be useful thing to know!

From my exprience, you cant edit the pic in your first post if you uploaded it to cgnetworks' server.

the look on his face conveys such character- something rarely seen even now that everyone understands edge looping and how to model anatomy pretty well. really brilliant stuff man.

Much better render... not that there was anything wrong with the other one...
Good choice :D

great model and great textures. The speculars do add allot. :) It's nice to see a model with asymetrical textures too. Great job.
