View Full Version : custom HUD character set
CoolDuck 05-16-2005, 07:04 PM Hi, I'm setting up a custom HUD (heads up display) script for an animator friend of mine, for visual clearance when she's animating.
It's going well, the HUD shows up, until I want to change the char set, and it doesn't update at the HUD.
Plz see the attachted txt file which has the code. Can someone point out what is wrong? Thx in advance.
Oh I tried to put updateCurrentCharacterHUD at the -event attribute but doesn't work.

Benny, you might want to take a look at my
km_CVamountInSceneHUD v1.0 (http://www.highend3d.com/files/dl.3d?group=melscripts&file_loc=km_CVamountInSceneHUD-v1.0-.mel&file_id=3372) on highend3d for inspiration.
Laat me weten als je problemen hebt.
We'll work something out ;-)

Hi thanks for your reaction. I looked at your script, but still couldn't figure out the problem. Guess Im gonna look further into the help of headsupdisplay node.

Maybe I am getting this wrong, but character sets are already in a default HUD called animation details. Isn’t this what you need?

I know, but I want one on top of the screen. :D And without the other 2 information.
If only I could modify the original one.
But ur right for the time being I can use the default one.
