i am working now on a project and i am using maya fluid effects.
the idea is to making some liquid falling inside a polygon object, my question is how to make this polygon object as a fliud container?

you can't make the object a container but you can make a container and place the object inside the container, or make a 3d container and in it's options choose to not have any x,y,z limits of calculation... don't remember the terms:argh:

if you mean like filling up a bottle. then you simply create an emitter without a container (Particles->Create Emitter) or make an object that will emitt the fluid (select an object, Particles->Emit From Object). Then you select the emitter and shift select the object that the liquid is falling into and select Fluid Effects->Make Collide so that the liquid wont pass through the bottle

Use Realflow instead. Create a container object using polygons in Maya. Triangulate and export to Realflow. Do your liquid stuff in Realflow, then export the result back to Maya. It's a trivial thing to do in Realflow, though getting it to look just right is pretty tricky.

hi,
Actualy i just started using Real Flow, what an amazing program it is !!
it is not as complex as maya but i think it is incredible in water simulation.
thank u yashu, _Luka_, sparaig.
bye
