In these three images, all light sources seem to glow - like their imediate area is way over exposed. how does one do that? If its just a glow effect, how do you do it to the "outdoors" area?

Thanks to CGArchitect.com for the pictures. (obviously ive read their tutorials - they dont mention the glow)

it seems postproducted in photoshop. i think its the fastest way, but not the beautyfullest. high sampled arealights are working too.

That is easily done in After Effects using Luma Keying and Fast Blur.
