if you look at the post saying "donate tutorials bla bla bla.." it's basically the same thing. cuz you're not buying an original tutorial but you're downloading it and that's also breaking the law. it's also not a MUST situtation. whoever wishes to exchange some tutorials will contact me

besides that...95% of ppl on cgtalk have pirated versions of maya, 3ds max etc etc.. this is not a ground for banning cuz it's simply an offer for tutorial EXCHANGE, so noone is making money and noone is getting damaged. even if i would exchange my original tutorials, gnomon, simplymaya etc. wouldn't have any use of it cuz noone is giving money for anything.
SO, USING SOFTWARE FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSE..WOULD be ground for banning, but this is purely for learning purpose and that's all it is

If you would have actually 'looked' at this thread, as you put it...you would see that these tutorials are created by other CGtalk users for no charge. :deal:

good thing that every pc has its unique static ip?
If your talking about your PCs, then you only have 2 IP addresses, which being banned would leave you with only one...
If your talking about PCs in general, most PCs on teh net have Dynamic IP addresses that chance every time they connect to the internet. Only companies and rare ISPs give out static IP addresses.
I would have to say that your post on the 95% of Users on here have pirate software is insulting to everyone on here who are working professionaly or own 3D Software (which is pretty much most of the users).
And another thing. People who create the gnomon, digital-tutors, simplymaya series of tutorials make them to make money. People have to pay for them. Exchanging them for others for free is a breach of copyright law, whatever way you try to get around it. It's Piracy, your getting something for free which you SHOULD pay for, even if your exchanging it.
From your posts, which kinda of say "I dont care about this community, i onyl want free stuff, I can just make more accounts - screw you" you sound like an ass. If you want to be an ass, go over to CGChannel. They love that there.

First of all, i have to say he has done nothing wrong but offer to exhange tutorials...
he has not broken the law yet, if you do not want to take part in this then simply leave the thread alone instead of saying "your so banned" that is up to a admin or a mod, so if you are intrested go ahead, but i did not see the thread topic "Come tell me how banned im going to be" so there for just leave the guy alone.

well so much about good manners. but let me tell you another thing. i might not be like some people who can afford original software. i might be the one whos parents barely have enough money to pay the bills for water, gas, electricity and phone. if i had the money i would buy original cds so don't tell me that i don't care about the community. maybe the community (not the cg community) didn't care for my dad when he got killed in war so maybe that's why i don't have enough money for their overpriced products. Do you think that I have 7.500 Euros for maya? hell my mom earns just a bit more money in one year. so where's the community that you're talking about?? it's called software industry my friend and they do NOT care about a frickin community, it's all about money. yes you're right, they do it for the money, just like we donate milk in powder to ppl in India so that their own people can't earn anything on selling their own home made milk whici is probably no more than 20 cents expensivier. yes it's all about money.
you got it totally wrong my friend, tell my which law says that you have to pay for exchanging something. if i give you 10 cds and you give me 10 cds also then whats the point in giving money if i'll send you 20 bucks and you'll send me 20 bucks.
PIRACY ISN'T getting something for free.
maybe soon something happens to one of your parents, then i'll ask you if you have enough money to buy original software.

and i'm just curious...why don't you criticize the ones that made the post about "DONATING TUTORIALS FOR FREE"???
isn't THAT getting software for FREE?
as long as i exchange something and NOT SELL, which doesn't harm these companies it's got nothing to do with law breaking.
i wish that you could see how hard it is to live without enough money. it's people like you who always loud out their shit on people like me without even thinking first

OK, so we should let anyone who wants to, to post threads on exchanging paid-for tutorials on the site?
We shouldnt encourage this. PLus, the guys attitude was the main reason I commented.
Luka, you seriously need to read up on copyright law.
Also, Im poor. Im not rich. Im in debt up to my ears so I know EXACTLY where your coming from. But I do have standards.

Being poor is not an excuse to pirate things, IMHO. There ARE free alternatives. www.3dbuzz.com (http://www.3dbuzz.com) gives out FREE video tutorials just as good as the paid-for ones.
Its not 20 bucks for 20 bucks. Your getting something you didnt have before.
Maya PLE is free, totaly. You can even save and you can use it for demo reel stuff.
Im not going to comment further, ive already said what has needed to be said.

will you just for a second stop talking about the law? please paste the sentence where law says something about exchanging goods.
my attitude? what was my attitude? i only posted a thing for exchanging cds, there's no attitude. you're the one with an attitude.
just because you have enough money to buy original software doesn't mean that you're fit to teach other people lesson.
i would like to switch lives with you just for a week so that you see what's it like when you have to go to college and work at the same time just to make enough money to pay for the scholarship. NO, my mother doesn't have enough money to buy my maya for 7.500€ but i'm sure that she would if she had as much money as you do obraxis. i'm really sorry if i hurt your feelings by trying to exchange cds. you must really hate my guts. just to tell you...it's even worse than in documentary movies when you don't have enough money
thank you ASW_Design
