Just thought I'd let you know about my WIP section. Would be nice to see some comments from my fellow lightwavers.

Let it rip!

I'm envious!

I'm curious: Do you do texturing? If so, do you make UV maps? If so, do you make them at model time, or after the model's done?

Also, can we get a peak at your ref images or sketches? :)

Sure I'll post the reference picture in the WIP thread! And, yes, I plan to texture the old bugger, but I'll do all my UV'in later on (shiver)

May I make a request? I'm studying character modelling and texturing now, and am curious how others go about creating the uVs they need. When you get to that path, do you mind explaining smoe of the approaches you used to placement of UV's?

You'd be doing me a big favor. I'm trying to absorb as much technique as possible. :)

(take it as a sign of admiration)

Sure...I'll see what I can do. Texturing is not my thing really but we'll se how it goes. I just basically capture planar uv's from all directions. There's probably a better way to do it :\

One trick you can do is create an endomorph, then drag the points of the morph around until it makes a more ideal plane, capture a UV of it, then go back to the base model.

That'll help you with capturing better uvs. :)

Yeah, that's the Menithings way right? I've never tried it but it looks good.
