Hello everyone,

I export an rtg file from Maya, and I want to read that rtg file in OpenGL by VC6.0:

1, what is the data structure of maya's rtg file ?

2, since maya can export joints information to rtg file, so can I use OpenGL to control joints just like in Maya ? if possible, how ?

1. It's an ascii file. Open it up and take a look
2. There's plenty of resources online. Google for "vertex skinning" or take a look at www.flipcode.com , www.codesamplers.com , or www.gamedev.net

If I were you, I'd write my own exporter from Maya. It's a little more work, but does give you a lot more control, because sooner or later you'll find that whatever format you're exporting too just doesn't give you what you need.
