View Full Version : Advanced lighting problem
Jeffo 10-10-2002, 10:23 AM Hi guys,
Im having an advanced lighting problem with max 5. It seems when i set up the scene and apply advanced lighting using a sky light i get a weird white glow directly between an object and its shadow, its rather small but still quite annoying, anyone know what could be causing this?
thanks,

hmmm... it sort of looks like it's reflecting something.
Can you send me the file?

Or even the lower half of the legs if that still reproduces the problem.

im not currently at the computer with that file on it, hmm its not reflecting anything, oh i forgot to mention im using light tracer, if that helps at all, i tried zero'ing out the color bleed and that doesnt really affect it either...
check the bias of your shadow and put the value to .1

Also check to make sure your not intersecting the ground plane..I know that when I use Brazil and Max 4, if my object intersects the GP, then that part glows for some strange reason...maybe thats a simmilar prob? dunnow..just thought I'd throw that out there...
Later!
