Dual Core computers are on the way...and I'm due for a new machine..should I wait and opt to get one? Working on film rez 4k documents and sketching while itunes is playing demands alot of power. But is Photoshop built to take advantage of the dual core systems?
Thanks to anyone who has an answer.

I think Photoshop will not use multithreading. At least my old PSD 5 had none on my Dual Pentium System with NT. Maybe they´ve changed something in the newer versions, but i think it will only run on 1 processor.

they've flirted with dual and even quad support with the mac versions...and i think the current mac version has an MP plugin...dunno, perhaps the intel architecture doesn't suit their code.
