I was at the MAX underground site and there is an anouncment that Chaos will be letting V Ray go free as they work on advanced features.. no time table yet on release date


check out both sites for info

A free version has always been in the plans for Vray. I don't think I've heard a release date though.

It's done and is being tested. From what I've been told the release is this week.

yeah free, but afaik without mblur, dof, gi control etc...

Just simple GI engine. but that's also nice ,-)
