here is my new WIP. First time that i try a product visualization. couldn't be too precize cause i havn't had really good reference pictures.

since it's just the first preview render you see the fg-rays but i think you can get an idea of what's going on...

c&c welcome, as always :)

cheers

Well done! There could be more reflections in the metal, which btw has a strange color. As far as I remember, the rolex watches have some maginifying lens in the watchlass above the display for the day.

yes, the metal looked not really nice... tried to tweak the settings the last few hours, but still didn't come to a good result... however here is another render... have to improve it tomorrow...

It looks like you might have transparency turned on - on that metal material because I can see the table top through it.

Other than that, the model looks pretty good, but the textures do need some work =)

no the metal isn't transparent, it's just the fg-rays you see on the metal... have to increase the fg-rays once i found some good settings then it's gonna be alright... i think.. :D

i think the metal texture is better now, had some problems with the reflections. i'm not too sure about the glass, maybe a bit too reflective???

and i know it's looking somehow tooooo new, but i plan to make a series of renders and let the watch become more and more dirty and used...

cheers
