View Full Version : Sketch and Toon : line taper?
shamhead 05-13-2005, 02:53 PM Hi all,
Does anybody know if it is possible to have tapered strokes/lines on my object? Not in relation to the distance, but where the stokes end on the creases, see the image below for what i mean...

- thickness tab
- check "along stroke" modifier
- range "line"
- mode "spline"
- then make the spline a "bell" curve
I think that'll do it for you
edit: after some tests, that will get you close, but maybe not exactly there...anybody? Line starts with a point, grows to 100% width, and then tapers back down?

hello mikeh64, sorry for not replying sooner! to tell you the truth I had completely forgotten about this post. I ended up with a post effect instead that just put a thick black outline around the object and the details were picked out by luminance material materials like a cartoon shader.
Thanks for you help anyway!
