I got an e-mail from Luxology today, announcing a new licensing method for 'owning' modo. I think this is a pretty cool alternative for buying software, though the annual fee is pretty high:

Yeah they definitely deserve to be doing ok :)

Also,I may be assuming there,but since the adress is evaluation@lux...I'd assume the chosen ones are those that are still evaluating the software.

Makes sense.

With the release of Silo 1.4 and even that new Evolva (sp) modeler that just came out, this new pricing 'technically' makes Modo a little more attractive to the wallet.

I received the 15% off discount e-mail yesterday, but not the $299 yearly license fee.
