View Full Version : Replacing Objects that use SuperBlender

Hi All,

I need to replace an object that uses superblender (only surface changes)...when you do so in animate, it doesn't actually update that part of the scene file (you can see in a text editor that it still references the previous file). So seems like an easy job of making the necessary change in the text editor but when I've tried that, it says it can't find the morphs (it must still, despite there being no visible reference in the .fxs, be looking for the morph data from the previous file). Does anyone know a way round this? I'm working on a large project so I don't really want to keep using the same name and overwriting the file!!!

Driving me mad! - Help! Using version c

I have tried everything.....hiding the old object and pointing to the new...yadda yadda...no joy...If it helps, it's an expression that drives the morph.....

Hi DMack,

The only reliable way I have found to update morph targets in an object with Superblender is to delete the effect in setup mode and then re-apply it again. I have had to do this if I have added new targets in my model.
Sorry if I have misunderstood your problem.

Bill.

Thanks Bill,

I've struggled too much with it recently and have decided to move over to morph blender. Means a whole load of extra work but I can't keep ripping the rig apart every time the model version increases...more on this subject to come. Thanks though.

David
