Very nice indeed, I like the proportions of the shoulders and hands.

Just a liitle nitpick, I thought the middle finger ought to be longer than the first, the first finger seem a little larger than the other two, maybe its just the angle of the pose. But great looking nonetheless.

Only thing wrong that I can see, is that the links on the chain dont connect, and the chain around the neck is floating.

wow.. really nice model.. love the chains ..

a couple of things i noticed...

1 the wrist need that bone that sticks out right above the palm.. right around the area where the chains .. it would be nice to see that small detail but its not nessesary

2 the cloth around his wasit taoers too much.. its hould reamain a litlle wider on the bottom..

appart form that the model is near perfect

hey hey hey. Coool model u got there. How long did you take?? I like the design, very gothic indeed. And the hair!! How long did THAT take you? You say u were gonna add more stitches, do so. It'll add another notch to this already good model. :D

I've got something going too. Do comment it.

Comment my work here (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2405)

THis is really cool. The chain around him seem to float in the air and not rested on him. Once that is fixed, it is perfekt. I love that Bob Marley hairdo.:D

I love those heavy-lidded eyes; makes him look menacing. And those tiny ears too, which remind me of a hippo (weird fact: hippos kill more people in Africa than any other animal!)

Imressive, sweet modelinghttp://www.cgtalk.com/images/icons/icon14.gif http://www.cgtalk.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

Are you going to model the scars or use textures?
and please could you post a picture of his back?

girl, I DO NOT want to know what caused them serious scars . . .
this is one badass lookin dude . . .

I'm having some trouble with the "hair" tho . . . it seems to be lying on his shoulder but the way it hangs looks a wee bit unnatural to me . . .

lovin the whole look tho :)

Wow, I really like the seams! Thatīs what usually happens when you have all those spiky balls hanging and get some odd ideas, like go jogging.

walee

Nice clean model. I do love the way you did your scars.

As equinoxx mention it, the hair look weird. It does not look natural.

I also think that its shoes are strange. It seems that the character has small feet compare to his height and the curvy part of the shoe make me think that the feet of your character are "curvy" but maybe that's the way it is. But in my opinion it doesn't look really comfortable to wear.

Keep up the good modeling. :)

I agree that you have a very clean model and a great concept. I feel that the floating chains are great- if that is your intent. And are the spikes on the weapon floating- great detail! The forces that cause it (floating chains etc:-) in a PA world do not necessarily need to be explained.

Conceptually though-
wouldnt the spikes on the balls hanging from his waist and back pose more of a threat to the character himself. I would think that it woud be rather painful swinging aroung his back and waist while in combat.

Perhaps a holster for the weapon, or the spikes retract /disappear/flatten/invert themselves when not in use? just a suggeston

very cool stuff :)

wow Ether, you're moving along well, I love the test pose, makes him look very menacing :), are you going to add more to him in terms of geometry? how far are you taking this model? meaning animation, texturing e.t.c e.t.c

No crits yet, very wild stuff ;)

GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY!

That rocks! I really like the model. I have to agree with some of the comments about the chains, they look a little floaty.

Keep kickin ass!

ether

Hey thanx for the suggestions everyone:)

I'm fixing the chains around his neck at the moment so they don't float anymore - But I think I'll be leaving the chains around his wrists - As it was my intention to leave them floating, like bracelets.

Equinoxx: I wanted the hair to look thick and clumpy, but I'm thinking of different ways of modelling it for this character at the moment.

walee: Yeah, the feet are a bit small, but I think I like the character like this - He has quite a large upper body, and then his legs and feet are quite small - If I come to animating him, I'd want him to walk, with his legs bent, swinging his arms form side to side.

parel: I really picture this character having very thick skin to keep out pollutants - And that the scars are probably due to combat - But you have a good idea there for a holster for the weapon - I'll be looking into that:)

lildragon: Yeah, I'm hoping to have him textured very soon - And possibly animate him later on:)

Thanx again - I'll be back with a textured version soon;)

its a nice model but personally i think that some of the scar details arent really adding to the character. The model is starting to look like the detail is forced onto it and and taking away from the "whole" before you had a nice mix between detailed areas, and areas that showed volume.

but maybe you could make some of the scars seem more subtle when you texture ( partially healed scars )

other than the little things i mentioned. the form/ musclature of the model is very well laid out.

keep it up.
