View Full Version : Problem with MuscleTK for Maya 6.5

I just recently purchased the muscleTK plugin installed it on Maya 6.5. I'm having trouble trying to follow the first video called muscleTK101 (the one you get when downloading the plugin).

It's the very first part where the nurbs sphere is created and he draws a curve with the create muscle tool. When I hit the enter key it doesn't appear as it does in the video. It seems to envelope the entire sphere as you can see with the attached picture.

I already e-mailed tech support about it. Just thought I'd ask here in case anyone has ever run into the same thing.

EDIT:
I think it might have something to do with Radius Min and Radius Max settings. If I dial it down to .5 and 1.5 respectively, I get the same results as in the video when he has his settings at 1.0 and 6.0. Though when I leave the settings at default I get what you see in the below image. Any ideas?

make the sphere larger.

Thanks for the reply!

I don't remember him scaling up the sphere (unless he had it setup to create the sphere larger than default), but I could be wrong.

ARRggh, now I have to wait until I get home before I can try it!

Could it really be something that simple? I'll post my results later today!

It may have something to do with your scene scale. MuscleTk was designed for cm. Try adjusting the radii to smaller values.
