HELLO PPL!

CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW I CAN GET STARTED WORKIN WITH MAX QUICKLY...I AM A SOFTMAGE|XSI USER.

IS THERE ANY KEYBOARD SHORT CUT PAGE WHERE I CAN LEARN THE KEYS QUICKLY! I HAVE USED MAX3 2YEARS BACK.

THANKS!!

Customize > CustomizeUserInterface

You can set your keys and menus to match XSI if you want. Anything you can hotkey you can also put in a menu or toolbar. I know several people that work in MAX but use Maya or LW standard hotkeys (old habits die hard).

A few keys are hardcoded though:

Rotate View - alt-midmouse
Pan View - midmouse (depending on how you have it setup in Preferences)
Zoom View - cntrl-alt-midmouse

I do all of my transform stuff through the QuadMenu. In fact, here's a screengrab of my default quad (you can setup context-sensitive quads too)
