Title: Bullseye
Name: Jason Lee
Country: United States
Software: (Other), LightWave 3D

This is a dart board. haha, not much else to say about that. I wanted a cool camera view so i chose one right behind the darts. This was modeled in lightwave in about an hour. Rendered with the maxwell plugin. Comments welcome!

This a cool render. The metal looks great, and so do the darts. Good texturing and colors. We have a dart board here at home, and it looks almost just like that. Even the colors are the same. Well done. :)

Are the metal wires modeled or are they in the texture?. Colors look good but the material of the board is too clean. It's a strange fiber like material. I think it's called sissel. It's a bit hairy. This looks a bit foamy. If you can improve that it's a very realistic render!

really great render...
the textures are very cool and the dof gives too much reality to your scene!

Good job!

Looks cool Jason.

What do you think of LW+Maxwell?

I'd be curious to see the equivalent LW or FPrime version.

Thanks. The wires are modeled.
I like maxwell, i wouldnt use it for production yet, but its fun to use. There are some limitations, but i like the results i see and the time it takes to setup is fast. I guess for product shots i would use it in production, because you dont need a lot of light bounces, but for architectural interiors and stuff its still too slow.
