View Full Version : Separate Meshes, one skeleton

The head and body of my character are two separate meshes, so I can do morph targets easier on the face. How do I weight the two pieces to one skeleton, and have deformation where they connect? Thanks,
Max 4.2 - bones & skin.

Each mesh object will have its own Skin modifier-- each skin modifier will contain the appropriate bones to deform it...

for example, if an arm mesh was separate, its skin mod. would probably contain the arm bones as well as the clavicle/shoulder bone. I recently did this on a character and it works well...

u should try using morphtoolkit from di-o-matic, thats all i can say
its an awesome package.
