View Full Version : Can I render Rotoscope image in the Render Region?
young_927 05-11-2005, 08:03 AM Hello all~
I am trying to render my objects, as well as my Background image, which is in Rotoscope.
Just wanted to use Render Region to see if my objects fits with the image in Rotoscope..
but When I put on the render REgion it only renders the object..
Is there a way I can turn on so I can render the image in Rotoscope?
In others words, Render everything I see in the viewport, obj plus the image in Rotoscope?
thanks in advance~

That's a good question... for real renders you'd obviously want to composite it for total control, but in the render region this would be useful. Hopefully someone will have a solution... if not it goes on my wishlist.

Add an output_shader: 2D_background_pic to your current pass
and choose your clip.
Hope that helps.

in the output shaders for your pass connect a 2D_Background_pic shader and choose whatever clip you want for background.
also having the renderregion on show RGB+Alpha will show the background if it's not culled by an object(s) of some sort.

you could adjust your render to render both rgb and alpha ... this way you can see your roto image behind your model
