View Full Version : Position Keying
timsep 05-11-2005, 02:11 AM ok, i'm just trying to figure out this little problem. i've solved it before but now i cant recall how to! the problem is a keying problem, i'm trying to make a simple figure go from point A to point B in a very quick linear fassion, 5 to 7 frames, very fast. after point B i wish the box to fly to another point somewhere in the comp. so i reposition it, add a new key with no ease or anything, and for some reason i keep getting a bezier style motion to it. i've messed with the position curves and its just not happening doing it that way. is there anyway to have all my keys VERY quick and almost mechanical with no ease to them what so ever? i thought using only linear key would work, but obviously not.
Thanks
Tim

Check your keyframe settings by selecting keyframes and pressing Ctrl+Alt+K. AE treats temporal and spacial interpolation independently, so maybe something there doesn't match up.

(make sure spatial interpolation is set to linear, AE treats it with bezier splines by default)
