View Full Version : saving map to PSP7
angelindesgise 05-10-2005, 11:13 PM Hi,
I'm new at this 3d program and I'm just learning Wings right now. Everything is pretty easy except when I make a uv map.....how do I open it in my PSP7...(Paint Pro Shop) ? I would like to have used a bmp but I see the files only give me obj and my PSP doesn't support that

when you have your model unwraped: RMB --> create texture. After that open the outliner window, klick your texture, RMB --> make external. The map is now beeing saved.
Hope I could help you.

Thank you for your help...I'm not sure as to what you mean by opening the outer window and then clicking on the map (which is in the inner window). Then I'll have to find something that says external.
I'll have to go look at the program to understand :D this shows you how new I am

Thank you so much for you helping me. I'm not sure what you mean when you say After that open the outliner window, klick your texture, RMB --> make external.
I guess you can see how new I am :D
I know the map opens in an internal window and that's where my map is but the object is on the other window (is that the external?)

go to the menu "window" --> "outliner": The outliner window appears. On that window click your texture. Right click it --> make external. A window appears where you can select where to save your map-file and in what fileformat. After that you can open and edit that file with photoshop or whatever you like. After saving it again go back to wings and to the outliner where your map is: right click --> refresh, et voilą! :)
