CGTalk - Best AE plugins

Hi,
i am thinking about enhancing AE by 1 or 2 Plugins.
Trapcodes 3D- strokes is my favourite so far.
Wich other plugins are worth taking a look at?
btw: Are there any good, free ones?

Trapcode Particular is another spectacular 3D particle generator. See the library of effects at the trapcode website. Way cool!

I like Magic Bullet Plugin. It`s a color grading plugin. You should try it. :)

All of Trapcode's stuff is worth having; my other favourites are the Tinderbox collections (www.thefoundry.co.uk). Expensive but truly excellent. And check out some of the plug-ins from www.digitalanarchy.com.

Nope, not really. I sincerely oppose this view. Bugs and memory leaks all over the place which makes them barely usable sometimes. Also a lot of redundant effects that actually look shabbier than the ones that come with AE anyway (Lightning for instance)
