Greetings,
a few noob ?
i am trying to get a better understanding of Messiah and link to Maya

1) Messiah>file>load .obj select the mesh
i see where to move the pivot of the imported mesh, but not sure how to "freeze Transformations" perhaps it's not needed...?

2) also having some issue with how to tell which viewport will render. I am working in a perspective window, but the camera window is rendering.

i am trying to get ANY vid tutorials, as (like most here) i don't have much time

i have viewd the ones at pMG website, entertaining and helpful, any 3rd party vid's?

thanks!

I can only answer question 2 ... if you come from a LW background then you'll feel right at home in the fact that only the view from the camera renders. If you come from another, then you'll find it a bit restricting.

thanks for the help! :) this interface is a bit of a challenge, but once i get past the dreaded curve it's going to be worth it!

You can't freeze transformations and I would start without moving the pivot for the first steps. Just put your stuff where you need it in Setup...
If you model you objects with the world center where you want to have the pivot, this will help a lot.
