Great concept! A tremendous feel to it. Reminds me of an I.G. anime. Really beautiful work.

super concept! looks like a comic book i would want to read. is the sky photo or hand done? its beautiful. details in the backpack and glove are really nice. the eyebrows are a little out of place for such a tough mask, but i like em.

edit: doh! i see--sky is mix of photo and cg.

amazing work on texturs, especially on the cloudes, the figures are also clean ant fits well on the whole enviroment, even the small touches are cool, like the fog on the distant figure and the blue led lightbolt that hangs from its belt!, you managed to do a "bony" texture to the head gear, that adds a lot to the snowy post-apocaliptic feel :)
great work!!

:buttrock:I am speechless. This is really awesome. I really like this kind of style and I haven't seen something like that at cgtalk lately. But still somehow the guy in the back bothers me. It's as if he's wrong in perspective and somehow he appears to be flat.

I really really like this, the design of the mask is wicked. I find it rare to see a mask that i like, but i love this one. I like the amount of white, makes the image easy to look at and enjoy. I would love to see the real pixle size? Anyway did you use only a mouse?>>>

Great work :D

Wow.. Great work designing that mask. Kinda reminds me of Civil Protection from Half-Life 2.

The only thing that bothers me about the pic is, like someone has pointed out before me, the figure in the back. He seems somehow flat and not in the same perspective as the foreground man.

Anyway, this is an amazing pic and I love all the detailing on the man's clothes. The sky is beautifully done.

Keep up the great work! :buttrock:

These lines are very accurate, I'd have guessed you had rendered outlines with a 3d app and then coloured it. Excellent stuff man! The background figure seems a little underdetailed though, some more definitionj would have added that extra thing since he's looking back toward his opponent(is he?)

thank you everybody.

Manik > I don't know this book, but sure i will read it.
Bigpet/jmBoekestein > The character in background seems flat, this is deliberate. the first character wonders about his consistency, and finally on his reality: is it a mirage?
rawwad/erilaz > to which works (manga/anime) do you refer ?
chrono000 > only mouse for the colors
adel3d/jmBoekestein > I don't use any 3D software . i have cleaned the line with photoshop, this is the reason why it could seems 3D.

The line is very neat! You must be very good at dealing with lines, I like your style. Also the texture of the sky brings the picture alive. cool work. I'd like to read your comic(if you will do one) one day! :p

Thx Twisteums. I get it now, it just struck me as odd. It looks good so it is good :D.

Really neat job on the lines. They're very tight. Amazing.

that's a neat idea to try let something look 2d and false in perspective on purpose to let it be part of the image. Seems like I missed the intention at first.

That's simply amazing. How did you achieve the lighting tones?

This is fantastic. I read your post and you said that the sky was part CG, part photo. Whatever you did, you achieved it with excellence and I admire you for that. The lighting is great and for some odd reason, this looks like a still from a major animation. The mask the guy is wearing has a nice stylistic look to it and the gun (although not to my liking) is a nice touch. I would have had a harpoon gun or maybe even a shotgun but that's just me. The way the drifting snow blends in this piece is phenomenal. Excellent work my good man.

Great Work, the thing is the man in the back seem to look a little 2-D compared to the high
in detailed figure in front. Great work keep it up

You should read the thread because the artist already explained that the flat guy in the Background is an artistic device.

the line art is amazing on this pic.. very cool shapes and shades. Colouring is also awesome. Personally i think the sky is too grainy for his pcture (grainy mght suit it, but not with such a high saturation) the rest of the picture is so smooth.

Fantastic work. (especially for no wacom..)

I love that! You've truely made a normally boring landscape look exciting. And that's saying something! I especially like the bloom lighting quality you've put on the brightly lit part of the suit. It makes it look bright yet it doesn't warm up the picture too much.
Nice work

I really enjoy your works, this one especially has a great mood! The foreground character looks a half-life 2 character(perhaps my favorite game to date). im very much enjoying your camera placement, lighting, and mostly linework. congrats on your cg society award. keep up the great efforts. 5* here.
