hello

I just downloaded the demo of modo and just tried a few things.

I'm a 3dmax user and I'm wondering what tools or features have modo, that 3ds max not have??

I read many thread that this modeller is very powerfull. And now I don't know if I should learn this app. Is modo so more powerfull in modelling that 3ds max?

thx for the answer and sorry for my english.

Tony I tought max for a year and have used it at various studios I have been employed at, I think Modo blows away max in all areas of modeling. A lot of animators I know really don't get what kind of efficiency is possible until they have used something better for a while. Especially if Max is the first thing you learned. It has a real " Max " way of doing things and it really fools you into thinking that your real productive. (But your not)

Modo's ability to just select things easily is enough of a reason to switch right there. I am a modeller and when you you work all day building objects it becomes a huge psychological impediment knowing that if you had Modo on your desk this object would have been done long ago....instead your " still trying to select that damned couple of poly's stuck way back there" . "aaaaaahhhhhh!"

Modo's Layer system is years beyond Max's in terms of ease of use and day to day functionality.

Modo's Selection system is superior.

Falloff system is what we always wanted falloff to be.

I use a duel monitor setup, and configuring the interface has improved my overall speed immensly.

Symmetry is actually useable in Modo. Not this rediculous Model a little bit click on the modifier see your object..... then go back down.... and model a little more, rediculousness.

Display functionality is awesome.

SubDivision Surfaces rock in Modo.

Etc. Etc.

I really could go on for quite a while longer.

Hope this helps.

PS... sorry for the spelling I had to go fast.
