View Full Version : Weird glow effect in 3dsmax 7.0

Well, i just got 3dsmax 7, and i'm still not very good at it, so dont blame me for beeing stupid ^^,

OK, in this picture http://www.richardrosenman.com/gallery/maxwell_greeble12.jpg, there is a large glowing tube in the middle, now i was testing that, but i can't seem to get that tube glowing >.<, this is how far i've got.

There is no light added in that picture, and the renderer is Final Render,
Someone here who can give me some tips on how i can get this to work good ?

Best I can suggest is mining the mental ray thread.

well i have this now:

did this with Self Illumination on fRadvanced, and then place an fObjLight so that it'll glow :D

^^; thanks for the help anyways, mental ray is cool, but i'm working in Maxwell Renderer now, that's more realistic.
