CGTalk - Maya 4.5 => Maya 4

ok, i just got maya 4.5 and i made a character in it. But, when I took it to my other computer with Maya 4 on it, it errored when trying to read the file. Is there something I can do to get Maya 4.5 files to work on Maya 4?
