Okay first post.I was playing with lightwave yesterday and found an idea for the challenge. The earth will be in a colder time of nuclear aftermath. In this environment i will use a survivor character which now i am trying to finish modelling and err... sasquatching(furs)
and also i want to use a flying type vehicle behind the ice.I hope it is not a big problem using all the challenging types. But i will challenge(...by myself) to achive the frosty, good loking ice cave.Environment will be the first thing i will look for.Whatever the picture i am sending is the ice cave i am trying to finish modelling and i am trying to get rid of the plugin i have used for sub surface scattering. The model will change a bit but it is it for now.Whatever any comments welcome.

mm... The "folds" of the wall are really good!! but I think the floor seems like a mirror... maybe it was more white and blur could be better.

Continue!! It a really cool idea the Glaciar Age :)

Not bad... not bad at all :) I'd have to agree with pabbloz though. The ground is too shiny. Some stallactites and etc would be fine though. Diil mi yani kocum?

I agree with blackjack about the stallactite thing... But nevertheless, the lighting is really strong here and there is a great promise of a mysterious atmosphere in here... The look you might be after is probably a quasi bantha scene in empire strikes back... My suggestion would be to add some low specular, matte surfaces to compliment the almost 100 percent shiny surface on the ground, maybe even some frost... For starters, it looks absolutely great!!

Keep it up cekirge :D heheheheee

The roof looks natural and fine. Some curves on the backgr, backgr roof and the connection of the ground and side wallz seems really good also. Its going to be really fascinating when its over  . But the exaggerated reflection on the floor killz the rest. U dont need to use the sub surface scattering on the ground i think some sharp cracks and scratches and snow might be better. The sharp corners and the specularity on the wallz look unnatural. And it would be better with some little, tiny, cute penguin corpses around :D . Yalarim.:p

it s all about style how much u wanna go for reality/fantasy..i would like to see some ice particles on the edges.. whynot using FUR for creating those little ice spikes to give more variety..and spread some particles on liquid-ice ..try these when u have time lets see what its gonna look like...

On doing the vehicle behind: have you seen Fantasia 2000? (terrible interpritation IMHO) the Whale scene has a simular motif.
Maybe you could use it as a reference?

see you,

We wish to see more my friend. The dead penguins is a funny idea but might look good. The place altogether needs a post-apocalyptic look which you may provide with the ship you put in there. Just make sure it looks burnt and etc.

To counter the comments that you've been getting just a bit... I like how reflective it is. I think it makes the ice look wet and slippery. I feel like I'm ready to slide out the door. I agree though that it could use some more details like stallactites... Does it need them? Maybe not.

Great work. I can't wait to see your other models.
