Okay I notice that when I use deformers on nurbs the response is quicker when i ue the exact same thing on polys (low poly object). What is your favorite method of using say "jiggle" on characters..do you use nurbs or polys or sub-ds.

I've done it with both and I tend to go with nurbs when I can (read: not games/subs). But not so much for the jiggle performance as for the parametric support that generally goes along my need to jiggle something. For whatever reason, the things I've had to jiggle have also needed hair, fur or some other surface attachments as well. Then again, there was the time when that girl from down the street asked me to jiggle her... umm, nevermind.

I do believe that poly performance is a bit slower than nurbs at some resolution plateau but you have to be careful when making such comparisons that you evaluting apples to apples. You might have what looks like the same shape in a nurbs object only to realize later that it's on-screen tessellation differs from your polygon subject.
