View Full Version : right format for DVD full screen????

i have a file that i want to export to put it in a DVD, i have tried many formats and i cant get it work when i have it to the DVD software its not full screen

any help ?

It should be mpeg-2 if ou want to put it on a DVD. Most DVD software will do the transcoding for you though, so you can essentially import any file. Make sure you are exporting the video in full res. For PAL it would be 720x576 with an aspect ratio of 4:3. Its slightly different for NTSC but its not much different. What DVD authoring software u using?

i have used till now Adobe Encore DVD and Ulead DVD movie creator

Encore is really good. I used that alot before I moved to DVD studio on the Mac. The problem definitely isnt the auth software. Check your export settings again, make sure youve got the resolution set correctly. YOu dont need to exprort to mpeg 2 because Encore will transcode any footage u have for you.
