Very good start Ed.
Couple of things I noticed, but not sure if that's what you wanted...
-lower lip very flat. Perhaps allow it to curve into the mouth?
-Area between the upper lip and the nose....the septum I think it's called seems very wide.
-The ridge of the nose seems really high.
Again, it all depends on what you want.

Here are some more updates and I'm having a problem with the corner of the lips... if anyone can see how to fix it let me know.

two words for you, PARALLAX EFFECT. my suggestion would be to scale the face along the y axis a bit to make it larger than the refrence image, that way, from the perspective, it will look approxamately the same, assuming you are using an average perspective angle (20°-65°)
other than that, looks good so far, keep up the good work:thumbsup:

Yes, based on your reference, this looks really good. Excellent work.
The corner of the mouth is difficult. I try not to use a perfect loop for the mouth area, so that I have one loop going from the bottom lip into the corner and inside the mouth, then I have one loop from the top lip going to the corner, but then around the corner...if that makes sense. So basically, I don't try to connect the loop that your using now to create the sharp outer edge of the lips, I try to offset it by one span. I find that this gives less tension in the corner.
I hope that helps somewhat

*EDIT* Forgot to add the other images.... Here's what I have so far... that hands and feet suck but I'm out of time...so they'll have to do for right now.

-Dilber....I'm not sure what you mean??? Do you mean that I should move the corner of the loops around the lips to the inside of the mouth?
