Title: Interior Appartment For Elderly
Name: Ivovi Media
Country: Netherlands
Software: Maya
I made this interior with Maya and I rendered it with Mental Ray for Maya.
It is an interior of an appartment building in Delft for elderly people. I tried to make a luxurious setting. And very important is the view over the city.
C & C are of course welcome.

Hi
looking good although there are some things that could be improved
like the table lamps need some sort of attachment to roof, the ceramic tiles on floor
looks a lil bit flat and so does the desk side to the right of the picture..maybe brighten the whole image but that`s really a matter of opinion :)
something else that`s bothering me is that if these apartments are for elderly people, i would
have chosen more classical furniture as elderly people usually don`t favour the minimalistic
an modern, atleast find some kind of compromise between the two styles :)
but it looks naice tho! :)

i agree with that. And there is something odd, the chairs in the middle of the room are not seen by the reflections in the floor.
Render is nice though.

Thank you for the comments. I agree on some point, I still have to work on them.
I do not agree with the furniture style. The appartment is not for real old people. It is for people who have just retired and have quit a lot of money.

The cabinets, especially those closest to the camera could use micro bevel. I think the people are images? Nice job, I'd love to see a wire with lighting placement.

The people are indeed images.
The light setup is not that difficult. I used a mental ray area light in front of the window for the diffuse light. And a directional light for the incoming sun light.
The area light is casting photons.
The worktop i am going to work on.

Maybe a bit to futuristic for elderly people, but the modeling looks good.

I think the design is probably from an architect not the person who posted the pic. He did a grteat job modeling and rendering though, huh?
