This is kind of sad, but I'm hoping to SOON get my own computer. One fit for CG work. I just graduated digital animation, and have a demo reel out and about, but I would like to get my demo reel online and even post it here.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to get it hosted. I made some old WIP posts this past semester, but I'd like to show the finished product (no matter how "student reel" it might be.

If anyone has any advice, either for hosting, and particularly for what specs I might need for a good computer (not much of a tech guy, unfortunately.) Please respond soon, thank you.

well, you should post this sorta stuff in a diffrent forum. But if you wanna show a demoreel which is less then 100 megs, try www.sitesled.com. its a free webhoster, no adds, banners or any price. 1gig up/download per day.

Here's a sticky on web hosting. http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=49778

Currently I'm using powweb (http://powweb.com/). I think it's really good for just casual web stuff. e-rice (http://e-rice.net/) looks really promising if you just want to upload stuff without setting up a website. They have $5/15/25 dollars a YEAR plans.

Hope things work out and you can post your stuff soon :)

Thank you both for your help. Again, sorry if this is the wrong forum, but I'm still getting used to what goes where on this site. But thank you very much. Hopefully I'll be able to post it up soon. Look forward to critiques, (but please be gently). hehe
