This has worked for me numerous times when Cinema 4D has appeared to crash. This has happened during Sketch & Toon renders that don't seem to finish and using RMB copy/paste in text fields. I click Windows Task Manager and it says that C4D is not responding, I click End Task and a dialog box to end comes up, next I cancel and the process that was hanging stops, yet C4D lives on.
