Very cool little character, love the swordfish ;)

I'm not so sure about his shell, it's very bright compared to the rest of him. Dunno what would be the best way to alter it, probably to make it a bit more muted/darker and closer to a crab's shell like this (http://www.dungeness.com/crab/crab.jpg).

ian, that's a great concept. Like the model and, yes, those swords are excellent :)

I also agree with archanelTalon that perhaps the texture needs a bit of twaeking. I think the skin tones seem a bit muddy -- I really like the 'pop' you're getting with that red tail and and the bit of red around his ankle. What if you push the green a bit more in his arm wraps? Also, like the blue of his eye -- perhaps his skin could have some orange to make his eye pop too.

Hey, thanks a lot for the comments! I'm not gonna work on this guy anymore, at least not now, but I really agree with your crits; I will start posting my WIP stuff here at CGTalk so I can get some of these great crits! Thanks again, and if I touch him up soon I will be sure to post it. I especially feel that the orange is something that I was sensing was missing but I couldn't put my finger on it.
