Okay After several hours of learning how to use this feature I find it very slow and daunting for animation.

This is what i did!

I had a low poly obj - 1500 polys.
I duplicated the object /rename nextobj
Boned the low poly object
applied wrap

selecting nextobj first and then low poly
created wrap.

first obj is deforming nextobj but there s a lag time for calculating.
I tried turning nextpoly to nurbs (because i want smoother looking object) and it was a big hit on performance with wrap calculations.

is this the correct to animate with this thing.

if you want it smooth, convert the lowpoly to SubD...

Once you have it wraped you are supposed to hide your high res mesh and just animate the low res. That's one of the reasons for using the wrap deformer, so you have decent viewport interaction. If you want to see what's going on with the high res mesh, playblast it.

if it's still a little slow, you can just turn the wrap off while you're animating, then turn it back on when you want to render

Also don't forget to check the box that says "Limit influence area - use Max Distance", then set the Max Distance to as small as possible.
