The first beta of the x3d exporter is available:
http://www.neeneenee.de/blender/x3d/x3d_export150.py.txt

It has the same features like the new VRML97 exporter version 2005/04/20: http://www.neeneenee.de/blender/x3d/vrml97_export150.py.txt). (http://www.neeneenee.de/blender/x3d/vrml97_export150.py.txt%29.)

Known bugs this time:
- DEF/USE work not correct
- Grouping nodes like Billboard and Collision will be inserted as
in VRML syntax

Hi, VRMLsuck.
Thank you. You've put such effort in the scripts and the web page as well.
Great and professional work.

I have a question regarding X3D format:
How do you encode an X3D file into XML?
Is there any X3D viewer as browser pluging?

Jep, there are some X3D viewers and plugins see

So, we can expect to see Blender 2.37 listed under X3D Content Authoring & Editing Tools ?

Edit:

I see that Blender is listed and an option under File Translators & Utilites, but it says that the X3D importer is only supported in Windows, while the exporter is supported on Windows, MacOS, X, Linux, Unix, IRIX & Other.

Weird, isn't it?

The X3D exporter for Blender listed there is the old of Adrian Cheater that has limited features and some axis bugs etc.

But yes from Blender 2.37 and up it should listed as a authoring tool too!
