Hi,

I've recently found the need to export an object into .DXF format. However, when I import that DXF file into another CAD program, the polygons are not flipped. I'm wondering if there is any known problem with Lightwave that would cause this. I also tried 2 other 3rd party exporters with the same result, which leads me to think that its either that the DXF file does not support flipping polys?

When you say "flipping polys", you're referring to the surface normal not facing the right way, yes? What happens if you flip the polys in lightwave before exporting to DXF? The point order is used to determine the normal. Lightwave goes clockwise. Perhaps the CAD program you are using reads counterclockwise?

I tried flipping, not flipping, and auto flipping the polys (letting the exporter flip the polys) all with no effect. Thanks for the suggestion tho.
