is there a stand i can buy for a digi camera to hold it in an over looking position for basic animation sequences or storyboarding. (not expensive one ) sorry newbie to the animation thing

do you mean a tripod? or a camera stand to shoot drawings with?

yes but it holds the camera parrallel to the page (unless regular tripods do this i dont know) maybe they do
