Hi, registered as member a while back but now I am able to post some artwork. I'm having an 11 minute break so thought I'd put up an artwork I did a month ago. I'm planning to use this as the first art for my 10 art portfolio. It's not coloured yet but it will be... soon ;P. Nothing fancy and I'm coloring it cell shaded style cause I..like cell shaded stuff :] and I'm trying do draw normally instead of the usual chibiness I drew for the "Blue Screen of Life" comics. What do you think? Does it still look chibi?

Hi,

I think it looks pretty good. You could also try varying your line weight (as in have lines with different thicknesses), it really picks up the image if you do that, even if it's colored in.

that one is pretty cool! I agree with you to use cellshaded, it rocks :) nice work on the details, not too much but still enough. as Roja mentioned I think more lineweight would look great, can't wait to see it colored

Looks good so far.
I would love some more lineweight various places.. also the style kinda reminds me of Kingdom Hearts ;)

Ok, let me check :
Roja: I know what you mean, I'm using only two pens to ink it but either way I'll edit it in photoshop. When you say lightweight, it's sort of like depth of field kind of thing right? So it's like trying to differentiating the character, the clothes and the weapon right? I'll get on it ASAP :)
Swoop: Yeah, I noticed that after watching it a couple of times after drawing it but I guess since Tetsuya Nomura sensei is my Idol in a way.

Oh yeah, I just noticed this but do you think the character looks a bit too short? I mean should I have made the legs longer or is it because I made the guy wear a 3 quarter shorts? Or maybe it's just me? :P
