Title: Pinuptoon Vs. Burton
Name: Dan Lund
Country: Denmark
Software: 3ds max, mental ray, Photoshop
In this image I have tried to combine a model based on a sketch by Rion Vernon (http://pinuptoons.com/) with an environment inspired by Tim Burton's work. It turned out to be quite a challenge - so let me know how I did.. thankyou!

Hindus: I wasn't planing on doing any animation with this character. She is rigged pretty nicely, though - so who knows.. (I'm not much of an animator, so dont get excited)
tobiasth: thanks

a screenshot of all lighting.. hehe.. it wouldn't be very informative, I think. I've used a lot of attenuated lights and exluded/inluded objects.. But it's a very straight forward setup with standard (mental ray) a yellow key light, blue-ish fill lights and an occlusion pass.

Great model, great composition, great textures (feeling), great idea, great lighting = 5 starts
Congratulations :)
Thanks guys..
HocusPocus: The cat is intentionally very dark - and is defined by it's shadow. I like that effect - very cat-like, I think. But thanks..
Adeel: Animation.. dumdidum.. well.. ehh.. let's see :)
Per: Hey man! Long time no see! Yeah, lot's of strange characters outside that apartment..
Hope you are doing allright.
